In a direct move driven by their belief that rhythm games will only increase in popularity over the next few years( ), Activision has purchased RedOctane, and will have publishing rights over the forthcoming sequel to Guitar Hero, and possibly anything else Harmonix develops under the RO umbrella. This means many good things for rhythm gamers, such as: -Larger budget for marketing, which means more attention -More rhythm games being developed -More Harmonix! I'm skeptical about the kinds of games Activision has gone out of its way to slap their name on in the past, but this is by far the coolest thing I've ever seen them do.
