DJ Kasson Crooker is a man of many names.
Most known to FreQ veterans as The Symbion Project, Crooker has also composed various trance, house, and electronic compositions under the aliases of DJ HMX [Harmonix], Komputer Kontroller, and, once, Cosmonaut Zero.
First and foremost though, Kasson Crooker remains a hingepin member of the synthpop trio Freezepop, in which he is known as (take your pick) The Duke of Pannekoeken/The Duke of Belgium Waffles, a group he continues to tour and perform with along with his ongoing position at Harmonix Music Systems.
While there very well may have still been a Frequency and Amplitude without Kasson's contributions, there sure wouldn't have been as many hardcore beatz to go around.
Kasson/The Duke/Symbion continues to contribute musical hardcore to bands and video games alike.
Keep up with his ongoing lifetime of musical adventures at www.symbionproject.com/instant.html.
Rhythm Game Bio

End Of Your World - Robotkid VS Inter:sekt [Symbion Project Remix]
All in-game music
Amplitude
Super Spr0de - Freezepop
Cool Baby - DJ HMX feat. Naoko('Plural')
Out The Box - Symbion Project VS Akrobatik
Synthesized - Symbion Project featuring Liz Enthusiasm of Freezepop
Spaztik - Cosmonaut Zero
All in-game music
Karaoke Revolution
Science Genius Girl (hi-phive edit) - Freezepop
DDR Ultramix 3
Stakeout (Ultra:mix) - Freezepop
Guitar Hero
Get Ready To Rokk - Freezepop
Guitar Hero II
Less Talk More Rokk - Freezepop
Will the Duke continue to affect the history of music games? With Guitar Hero as popular as ever, I'd say it's a sure bet.
Props to the man himself for some of that data, since I've never even played Ultramix 3. (Though I had a feeling he was responsible for the in-game beats. Thanks for confirming, KC.)
Hopefully he won't hold it against me.
