IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — May 10, 2006— Atlus U.S.A., Inc., a leading publisher of interactive entertainment, today announced the acquisition of the North American publishing rights to Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner, an intense action RPG for the PlayStationR2 computer entertainment system. Developed in Japan by Atlus's R&D1 division, Devil Summoner is scheduled for release in October 2006.
"The Shin Megami Tensei franchise has established an intensely devoted following in America, and that fan-base will be very happy with Devil Summoner," said Yu Namba, Project Lead for Atlus U.S.A., Inc. "The real-time battles put a fresh spin on SMT's in-depth combat system, the early-20th-century setting is incredibly unusual for a video game, and Kazuma Kaneko's character design is better than ever."
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
