At the last E3, Nintendo of America announced that Ouendan would be coming stateside: in the form of Elite Beat Agents.
Not simply a direct translation, brand new characters have been created, along with brand new Americanized scenarios, and new songs to go with them.
Nintendo is also marketing this as a Touch Generations title, suggesting anyone can pick up and play EBA, so hopefully it'll get more attention than it otherwise would.
In this version, help comes to the distressed in the form of a trio known as the Elite Beat Agents, who are dispatched to the needy via the orders of their superior, an ex-CIA, known as Commander Khan.
Rather than using cheers, the Elite Beat Agents basically just get funky, but it supposedly carries the same effect as cheering(encouraging the unfortunate), so more power to them.
