Another DDR style stepping game is about to hit the market, and this also looks like a keeper.
It's similar in concept, but is also using some (relatively) unique additions like surround-style speakers(a la that of F2's Technomotion, imaginatively), a brand new battle mode, and for once, an original cabinet(which looks and sounds pretty stunning so far), utilizing entirely different kinds of technology for the panels.
But so far, the biggest allure is the interesting songlist*, which a partial selection of is available at their under-construction site:
dtx.pulsenetwork.net
While the staff say they won't be taking this to the insane levels of hardcore that ITG does with their songs, there will likely still be Level 11-12 calibur songs to be found.. unsurprising, when you look at some of the names from the partial songlist they've provided:
*Partial Songlist*
Beatdrop - "Phase 1"
Demon X - "Z"
DM Ashura - "Neon Rush"
Melody & Mezzo - "Dance No. 5"
JinX feat. Charlotte Summer - "Wish"
Kernel360 - "Futurescope.EXE"
CyberG feat. Melissa Morgan - "Watching the Clouds"
LMK - "Rice Fields"
Hi-G - "Kyoto Convini 138"
WiZard - "Anthem"
LMK vs. MM-100 - "Music Box"
Melissa Morgan - "How Do U (Get Over)"
Moonlife - "Only You"
DJ Speedo feat. Wildside - "A Thousand Miles (Speed Mix)"
Hellen - "Toxic (Speed Mix)"
Jenny Rom - "The Game of Love (E=MC2 mix)"
MC F 40 - "Guillaume Tell"
Wildside - "Queen of Love"
Mindless Self Indulgence - "Diabolical"
Mindless Self Indulgence - "Eleven"
Ace of Base - "Cruel Summer"
Bad Religion - "Inner Logic"
Ciara - "1, 2 Step"
This'll supposedly be in the beta testing stages soon in California, so hopefully it'll spread beyond the western shores afterwards.
If this machine varies its stepcharts appropriately enough, this might wind up being a freestyle/technical hybrid of the likes rarely seen in the industry.
Keep an eye out for any new developments as they happen.
